Campus Police and Safety

We're very fortunate to have a safe campus.

Our campus is located on the outskirts of Bradford, a friendly town of 11,000 nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny National Forest in western Pennsylvania.

For members of our Campus Police Department, your safety -- along with the safety of the rest of our campus community -- is their highest priority. Our campus police officers, who are fully trained law enforcement officials, patrol our well-lit campus 24 hours a day. They work 24/7 to prevent crime and protect you from harm. They also conduct safety seminars from time to time to teach you how to stay safe in various situations.

Our Campus Police Officers have complete authority to apprehend and arrest anyone involved in illegal acts on campus and immediately adjacent to the campus. If the offense is committed by a university student, the campus police officer may also refer the individual to the Campus Judicial Board/Student Affairs Office.

View the  Security Policies & Procedures Report, which includes tips for a safer campus, and the Campus Police and Safety Statistical Report.

We also utilize an Emergency Notification Service and have a detailed  Emergency Response Plan  that provides clarity about the responsibility and authority for making decisions and taking action as the campus rallies a response to an emergency situation.
